Hi,
I have today created a petition, Software in Schools, to ask the PM to
consider the benefits of free and open source software and have written
it up in one of my blogs:
http://specialschoolict.com/2007/02/12/pm-petition-software-in-schools/
Please follow the link [http://specialschoolict.com] and consider
signing the Software in Schools e-petition which is hosted on the PM
Office's website. The e-petition system is a bit slow these last couple
of days. It was in the news over the weekend and I think has been
suffering the strain of public attention as a consequence. Please
patiently coerce it into action if necessary.
You may remember in the Bucks Herald last week Winslow school gained
Arts Mark accreditation partly on account of exactly the same type of
software the petition is promoting.
Regards,
JE Chappell
