... but not the ones who are tied to a tree, beaten and have their arms
broken attempting to escape from slavery - harvesting the cocoa beans on
the Ivory Coast.

There is an alternative.

A US State Department Human Rights report estimates 15,000 Malian
children many under 12 years work in slavery on cocoa and coffee
plantations.

A young boy called Victor trafficked from Mali said:
"Tell your children that they have bought something that I suffered to
make. When they are eating chocolate they are eating my flesh."

Trouble is the nature of multinational trading makes it practically
impossible this year to guarantee the source of most chocolate.

Fortunately, there is a better way. Fair Trade chocolate by its very
nature comes with the Traffic-Free Guarantee.

The following documents describe the nature of the problem and where to
find Fairtrade Easter Eggs.

Your purchasing decisions this year will affect the lives of African
children next year.

Please spread the word.
