Hi,

A couple of weeks ago I sent an e-mail regarding the Town Councils plan to plant 50,000 bulbs (mainly Daffodils and Narcissi) around the town and their request for volunteers to help them in this endeavour.

The bulbs are to be planted near the following locations:

Wendover Road (near Eastcote Road). - 15th September

Tring Road (at Bedgrove Roundabouts) - 16th September
Bister Road (Stonebridge) - 22nd September

Buckingham Road (at junction with the ring road) - 23rd September

Oxford Road (Thame Road South Roundabout) - 29th September

Mandeville Road (opposite Hospital entrance 2) - 30th September

Each session will run from 10am to 4pm (or sooner depending on the number of volunteers) and equipment and light refreshments are provided (although you will need to suppy your own lunch).

If one of these sites is near where you live and you would like to get involved with other members of the community (I believe this currently includes the Scouts and Salvation Army amongst others) in brightening up these areas of the town then please feel free to go along. Alternatively I will be going along on the 29th of September and would be happy of some company!!.

Many Thanks

Richard Greenwood

(p.s if you are planning to attend one of these if you could let me know so I can pass on rough numbers to the organisers)
