You will be pleased to hear that Barnabas Fund food aid is still
getting through to Zimbabwe. I have copied details below for your
information.

Barnabas Fund`s Aid To Zimbabwe Continues Despite Mugabe`s NGO Ban
----------------------

President Mugabe of Zimbabwe announced on 5th June that foreign
non-governmental organisations and aid agencies were to be banned from
Zimbabwe with immediate effect. Around four million Zimbabweans,
approximately one third of the population, are dependent on food aid
at present.

However, Barnabas Fund's feeding programme in Zimbabwe is unaffected
by this ban. We are not functioning as an official aid agency within
the country, but rather through the courageous and discreet work of
individual Christians and churches, so our feeding programme can
continue unhindered.

Since February 2008, Barnabas Fund has provided just over 60 tonnes of
food which has been distributed to over 2,000 of the neediest
Christian families in Zimbabwe. Please help us to continue meeting
this desperate need.

Prayer Request
----------------------
Please pray for the people of Zimbabwe, as the re-run of the
presidential election approaches on 27th June. They face increasing
hunger and hardship as well as growing political violence and
intimidation. Pray that God will raise up a righteous and just ruler
for this country. Pray that Zimbabwean Christians, who have been one
of Mugabe`s many targets, will be salt and light in their country at
this time of immense suffering. Pray for the protection of all those
trying to feed the hungry.

Regards,

Joc
