Hi
Just a couple of things that you may want to know about...
Firstly, increasingly with the SU material, there is an expectation that the SU Bible Timeline will be used as part of your session. This is an excellent resource which really helps the children to see that the story they are looking at as part of your session is a small part of a much bigger picture - God's story from before time began until way into the future. I know that with the other uses of the rooms, it is difficult to keep a copy on the walls, but if you would like to use it, there are two copies in the the Climbers 'bag' that Mandy has. It might be worth us exploring cutting up and laminating at least one copy so that it can used in the variety of ways suggested in the material, without suffering any permanent damage
Secondly, 'Lightlive' has now gone live. This is an online product that complements the published material. You can register for free and it is a really helpful tool for planning your sessions. Just ask it to look at Xstream, The Grid, Splash or Bubbles and it will bring up the sessions for this quarter. You can give details on the size of your group and the resources you have available and it will make suggestions on activities you can do that are appropriate. The great thing is that once you have made your decisions and edited your session to suit your needs,?if you enter their addresses it will then email that to the other leaders who are helping in your session (once you have entered all these details it will keep them so that you don't have to re-enter them every time) so that everyone knows what is going to happen before the session and enabling you to perhaps allocate tasks beforehand for you all to get the most out of it for the children
For Take it on Board takers you can search for the subject or verses that are going to be looked at in Children's Church and it will bring up a range of resources including some multi-media stuff, easily providing a relevant, and fun way to introduce the children and their parents to that day's subject
I do hope that these tools will help make your huge commitment easier and more rewarding
Blessings for all you do
Carolyn
