[HT Prayer] teachers persecuted for helping to run an election that gave the "wrong" result

I just blogged this, you may be interested, and I have copied here the
first of eight paragraphs to inform your prayers.

As regular readers of Aylesbury Life will know I have been pretty cut
up over the recent post election violence in Zimbabwe. But what really
saddens me as a teacher and a former low ranking local government
officer is the fact reported by the International Herald Tribune today
that "Educators [and low ranking govt officers] have become targets in
Zimbabwe's postelection violence.... ." merely for helping to run an
election that turned out the "wrong way".

Evidently those in power do not want the same "mistake" twice. As I
say there is more on my website.

You may or may not appreciate that not only is the opposition calling
for international help in Zimbabwe, not only have the churches in
Zimbabwe made two calls for international help within one month, not
only is the teachers' union calling for a strike on account of the
safety of its members -- but also there is a ship of military
equipment making its way towards the existing regime in Zimbabwe -- by
way of Luanda, Angola, apparently as the most recent port of call.
